Big Snow American Dream.
Big Snow American Dream.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 7, U.S. residents must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and enter certain federal buildings. While the concept of heading to the DMV to get a new driver’s license might not sound incredibly exciting, the concept of skiing for 50% off certainly is.

According to NorthJersey.com, Big Snow American Dream in New Jersey is offering 50% off on Wednesday to any New Jersey resident who shows a Real ID or has proof of a scheduled upgrade appointment. It’s just a one day deal, marking the deadline requiring the use of a REAL ID compliant ID to fly throughout the country.

The REAL ID Act was passed by Congress in 2005. It establishes minimum security standards for license issuance and production, prohibiting certain federal agencies from accepting noncompliant IDs in some official purposes.

Big SNOW American Dream is the only indoor ski area in the United States, offering a handful of runs, a chairlift, two magic carpets, and a terrain park. A two hour Slope Access card at Big SNOW costs $59.99.
