Skier rides a chute of sand.
Skier rides a chute of sand.

We’ve seen plenty of people ski and snowboard on sand in the past, especially in places with massive dunes for wide-open sand runs. But a skier ripping a fairly narrow chute of sand/gravel at a pretty high speed is new to us.

This skier shared two different angles from the same clip, his own POV and a clip taken by a friend. It’s some seriously impressive skiing, better than what a lot of people can do on snow.

The issue of stopping is what first comes to my mind in clips like this, but this guy just lets the rough terrain slow him down.

If you’re wondering what the skis looked like after, don’t worry, he shared that too. We can all be pretty confident in the fact that he won’t be using those skis much in the future.
