World's First Snowboard Switch Backside Quad 1620

History was made once again been made at Swatch Nines where Norwegian snowboarder Oyvind Kirkhus landed the first-ever Switch Backside Quad 1620. Oyvind took the center approach on the unique round-shaped jump with five multifunctional take-offs built on the slopes of Schilthorn Piz Gloria in Switzerland.

Swatch Nines has a well earned reputation for creating progressive terrain features and fostering a friendly but competitive atmosphere that has seen many world records broken and world’s first tricks landed during its 17 year history.

Congratulations to Oyvind for doing something that has never been done in the history of mankind. Skål!
