Absurd scene from the slopes of China were a verbal altercation boiled over into a full on physical confrontation between two skiers who ended up using their equipment as weapons.
The fight occurred at the gondola loading area of Fulong Ski Resort which is located on the on the edge of Chongli, a town in Hebei province about 150 miles from Beijing. As the incident escalated, both skiers wielded their skis as swords and battled it out as resort staff attempted to separate the warring factions.
Ski resorts can be contentious places where emotions run high, especially on busy days when lift tickets are jacked up with dynamic pricing, but it is never appropriate to let things devolve into physical violence. This is absolutely heinous.
