British Columbia’s RED Mountain Resort is well known destination for skiers and snowboarders looking for a world class mountain that maintains a laidback vibe and relatively uncrowded slopes but the resort is aiming towards growth in a new sport too. A brand new lift-accessed bike park designed by the expert builders at Gravity Logic is set to open on June 21st, 2025.
The RED Mountain bike park will feature singletrack, jump lines, and flow trails, coming together over the next few years. Seasoned riders will have access to humbling routes while beginners will have the opportunity to feel like experts. Every rider will have the ability to push their limits, with a focus on celebrating progression shining throuhg on the trails.
To celebrate the opening of the new park, RED Mountain is releasing a two-part video series on the inspiration and creation of the mountain bike trails. The first episode, “Standing on the Shoulders of Legends“, was just released, highlighting those that helped shape the sport of mountain biking in Rossland, British Columbia, and beyond. The episode is focused on one central theme: “It’s hard to know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been.”
Episode two of “Standing on the Shoulders” is set to come out on April 22. While episode one focuses on the history, episode two will take a behind-the-scenes journey through the Gravity Logic team’s work to transform the RED Mountain bike dream into a reality.
