Skier bashes Salomon skis in front of company higher-up.

Skier Michael Pearson was standing in line at Jackson Hole‘s Bridger Gondola when he noticed another person with a pair of Salomon skis. Appearing to talk to his buddy, he begins to discuss how he disliked the Salomon QSTs, saying they “felt like skiing on a limp noodle”. He then proceeds to say that he liked the Atomic Bent Chetler skis a lot more, all without realizing that the President of Salomon is apparently standing in line right in front of him.

It’s not clear if the person standing in front of him is Salomon’s President of the Americas Steven Doolan, Salomon President & CEO Guillaume Meyzenq, or some other higher up at Salomon and the woman in the video just failed to recognize his actual title, but it’s pretty epic no matter which way.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions about skis and people are going to have different experiences on gear, no matter what. I’d imagine the president, no matter what position he holds, understands that and wasn’t deeply offended or angered by the incident. If anything he probably thought it was funny. I sure would have.

Also, Salomon and Atomic are both Amer Sports brands, so the parent company is getting their money either way.
