Palisades Tahoe has been featured in countless ski and snowboarding movies spanning decades but the overwhelming majority of the shots that make it to the final cut are similar in that they all taken from the perspective of a filmer on the ground.
There are tons and tons of clips of iconic features like The Fingers, The Palisades Chutes and McConkey’s but it is rare to see them from an elevated point of view. The concept for this video is simple and it would be nice to see other resorts follow suit. Hire a professional drone filmer to flyover a resort, do some labeling in post production and provide guests with an eagle’s eye view of the resort to better understand the terrain and take advantage of their day on the mountain.
