A trio of brave sledders attempted to recreate what is considered “Most Legendary Sledding Jump of All-Time” and nearly reached orbit in the process.
The sledding jump these men are referencing went down on on Proctor Mountain in Sun Valley, Idaho a few years back and made national headlines for its amplitude. The folks in Idaho managed to stay in their canoe, can’t say the same of these imitators.
If apex height was the goal then mission accomplished, but with the vertical trajectory created by the steep takeoff staying aboard and landing the jump was fool’s errand. The Sun Valley jump remains the best but we love to see people trying to top it.
