The body of Connor Gill was recovered at Vail Ski Resort on February 28th two weeks after his disappearance on February 14th.
26-year-old Gill was skiing at Vail and was reported missing by a friend at around 3:15pm. His last known whereabouts were the Avanti Express Chairlift (Lift 2) where his ski pass was scanned Friday morning at 8:15am. Gill had told the friend he was riding with that he was going to be doing laps around the area. Heavy snowfall complicated search and rescue operations at the time. Vail Mountain Rescue and Vail Ski Patrol headed up search efforts for Gill and they discovered his body on February 28th.
The Eagle County Coroner confirmed the identity of the body on March 3rd. At this time no additional information has been released about the cause of death or the location of his body. An investigation is currently underway and we will update as more information becomes available.
