Nerve racking video out of the Tatra Mountains of eastern Europe of a climber who lost his purchase on a steep cliff and went skidding backward down the rocky face before his safety rope thankfully arrested his fall. This mixed climb passed through a labyrinth of rock shelves and jams, combined with light snow where any momentary lapse in concentration could prove fatal. Although the fall was violent, the man is reportedly okay and was able to laugh off his brush with death and continue on climbing:
“I continued climbing and there were no further unpleasant adventures.”
