If you’re looking to book a last minute trip to find some sweet snow, you should consider grabbing a flight to Boise, Idaho. Three ski resorts in the western portion of the state have seen more snow than almost any other ski resort in the country over the past 24 hours.
Unfortunately the snow totals across the United States aren’t that major, so even where the most snow has fallen is nowhere near the most we’ve seen in a 24 hour span, nor the most they’ve seen in a 24 hour span. But still, if you’re looking for the best snow, you should think about heading to Idaho.
Bogus Basin, located under an hour from Boise, has seen 9 inches of snow throughout the past 24 hours. In the last seven days their total is up to a hearty 39 inches, and 92 of 92 trails are open with access from 9 out of 10 lifts.
Further north at Brundage Mountain, 7 inches of new snowfall has fallen in the past 24 hours, making for a total of 8 in the past 48 hours and 29 inches throughout the past week. 6 of 6 chairlifts and 69 of 69 trails are open to skiers and snowboraders.
Just south of Brundage, Tamarack Resort is reporting a 24 hour snowfall of 6 inches at the summit, bringing their season total up to 207 inches. With all that snowfall, Tamarack has 55 runs open to skiers and snowboarders with 7 lifts spinning.
