Marius Quast explains straight-lining.

Straight-lining seems like one of the easiest things to do on skis if you’re comfortable with speed. You just point your skis straight and get low to reduce wind resistance, right?

Well there’s a difference between just going straight on your skis and actually doing a controlled straight-line. If you let your skis get out from under you, you’ll be flying down the mountain with little ability to stop or turn when necessary.

European ski instructor Marius Quast put together a video explaining the techniques necessary for proper straight-lining, helping you to master the skill before your next big ski trip.
