Álvaro Penadés repositions dislocated shoulder.

Professional skier Álvaro Penadés took a gnarly fall in a heavily dangerous zone, tumbling over a mandatory air and dislocating his shoulder. The video of the fall alone is brutal enough, but then after coming to a stop he decides to just reposition it himself. Pretty hard to watch, especially if you get queasy easily.

In general, attempting to relocate a dislocated shoulder on your own is a bad idea. Only a trained, professional healthcare provider should be touching and moving your shoulder following an injury. Instead you should try to hold your shoulder as still as possible until a professional can take care of it. Trying to force a dislocated shoulder back in place on your own can lead to further injury and tissue damage.

In any case, we’re wishing Penadés a speedy recovery following this heinous wipeout.
