Ski patroller attempts to tackle a snowboarder.
Ski patroller attempts to tackle a snowboarder.

Looks like this ski patroller had just about enough of rope-ducking skiers and snowboarders. The snowboarder, who admits to ducking the rope and entering closed terrain, managed to capture footage of the ski patroller attempting to tackle him.

The ski patroller probably shouldn’t have shoved this guy, but at the same time, the snowboarder really shouldn’t have ducked the rope.

Closed terrain is closed for a reason. Sometimes it’s because of a lack of coverage, sometimes it’s because of dangerous conditions, and sometimes it’s because of avalanche risk. If you enter that terrain, you’re likely putting yourself and others in serious, life-threatening danger. So for the sake of your own safety and the sake of other’s safety, please don’t duck ropes.
