Adorable wildlife sighting in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State where a juvenile black bear was spotted walking next to the Wilderness ski trail at Whiteface Ski Resort.
While many of us are under the impression that bears sleep soundly through the winter, the are actually awake and in a reduced metabolic state. Some scientist prefer to their winter behavior as lethargy or torpor as opposed to true hibernation.
Not sure what woke this little fella up and prompted his mid-winter adventure outside the warmth of its den but we are hoping he found his way back snuggled up to momma bear before too long.
