Niklas Zehner luge POV.

When you think of extreme sports, you probably think of skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, BASE jumping, wingsuit flying, and several other death-defying activities. You probably don’t think of bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge, but 19-year-old Niklas Zehner’s POV as he reaches over 70mph on a luge track might convince you to.

This video was filmed on the Oberhof bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track in Germany, used for Olympic qualification in all three sports. The track was first built in the 1970s and has a total length of 1,354 meters (~4,442 feet), though it’s competition length is 1,069.7 meters (~3,510 feet). Its maximum gradient is 36.4% and its average gradient is 9.2%.
