A teacher from a school in Hamtramck, Michigan fell 20 feet from a chairlift yesterday at Mt. Holly Ski Resort while chaperoning a school trip. Details are sparse but the officials report she was taken to the hospital with potentially severe traumatic injuries:
“This afternoon Groveland Township Fire responded to a Woman who fell 20ft from the chair lift at Mount Holly Ski Resort on Dixie Highway. She was transported Priority 1 with potentially severe traumatic injuries. It is unknown at this time the reason or events that lead up to her fall from the lift. Even though the circumstances of this incident remain unclear, we would like to remind everyone to be safe and aware of potential dangers while enjoying the slopes. We would also like the thank Mount Holly Ski Patrol for their quick response and exceptional care while assisting us with this incident.” —Groveland Township Fire Department
