When Mt. Bachelor sees a storm cycle, they often see a boatload of snow hit the ground. In the last storm, Bachelor saw 21 inches of new snowfall. So when a storm cycle rolls in, it’s all hands on deck to get the mountain safe and operating for skiers and snowboarders. Director of Base Operations Ryan Gage is one of the driving forces that makes that happen.

As mentioned, the last storm brought 21 inches of new snowfall to Mt. Bachelor, but that’s only a fraction of what they’ve seen so far this season. The total snowfall so far for the 2024/25 ski season sits at 265 inches, while their base depth is 110 inches. That puts them easily among the deepest resorts in the United States this season, so if you’re looking to ski some deep snow, you might want to book a trip to Oregon.
