If you ever want to feel bad about your skiing ability, just watch this video of what legendary skier Candide Thovex calls “recovery time”. It’s not hard to understand that when the GOAT of freeride skiing says he’s “recovering”, he’s actually sending it harder than you or I ever could. Finishing a run with a switch 3 into the lift at Tignes Ski Resort isn’t exactly what I would call recovery.
Major shoutout to camera man Aziz Benkrich for the footage on this one. I couldn’t imagine trying to keep up with Candide, let alone doing it while trying to keep a camera focused on him.
