This past week in the Keystone area, Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies received a report of a man threatening to beat people up at a children’s pond hockey game.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, two men got into a heated argument, exchanging obscenities after they disagreed on a call made by the referee. Following the verbal exchange, one man threatened to beat up the other and his wife before leaving the scene.
Deputies arrived and searched the area, but were unable to find him. Instead, they spent time at the game to establish ‘officer presence’ while waiting to see if the man returning to the rink.
A specific hockey game or tournament was not mentioned in the post, but the Keystone 9280 Youth Pond Hockey Tournament occurred this past weekend on Keystone Lake. Games in the tournament were 4v4, with no goalies, and had age groups U14, U12, and U10.
