Cat Skiing @ Deer Valley Ski Resort
Cat Skiing @ Deer Valley Ski Resort

Deer Valley Resort is offering a new cat skiing experience beginning in February to give skiers a sneak peek of the resort’s new terrain expansion but it will cost you a pretty penny.

A single seat on the cat for the day runs $2,000 and if you book out the entire cat (12 seats) the price point is $20,000. Those who shell out the big bucks will get to preview some of Deer Valley’s terrain expansion which will open to all guests in winter 2025/2026.

“Guided by a dedicated Deer Valley Mountain Host and Ski Patrol, your group will ski off the backside of Bald Mountain into Park Peak Meadow, where a snowcat awaits to transport you to a haven of untouched terrain. With a second snowcat stationed at the bottom of each run, you’ll enjoy seamless transitions back to the summit for more exhilarating descents.”

Pretty cool offering if you have deep pockets. Check out the official announcement from Deer Valley below.

Both experiences invite guests to ski into a world of untouched snow, carve pristine corduroy and escape with friends and family in true alpine style. The private group option is available for $20,000 and accommodates up to 12 guests, offering the ultimate exclusive private experience. The per-seat option is available for $2,000 and is perfect for individuals or smaller groups looking to share a joined tour.

Adventure Awaits

The day begins at 8 a.m. in the 2002 Room at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge, where breakfast by Deer Valley Etc. awaits. After breakfast, the group heads to the Silver Lake Express lift to ski a quick warm-up run on Bald Mountain. Then, the adventure truly begins when the group ascends to the top of Bald Mountain and skis off the backside into Park Peak Meadow. At the bottom of this run, a Deer Valley snowcat awaits to transport guests to an untouched haven of exclusive skiing. With a second snowcat stationed at the bottom of each run, skiers enjoy seamless transitions back to the summit for more exhilarating descents. The snowcats are equipped with stocked coolers, offering guests snacks and refreshments to keep them energized throughout the day.

As the day winds down around 2 p.m., a Deer Valley Mountain Host guides the group back to Silver Lake Base Area. Guests who have reserved the private snowcat tour will enjoy a well-deserved sit-down lunch at the renowned Royal Street Café. Private parties end the day with a stop at the guest services desk back down at Snow Park Lodge, where a special-edition Deer Valley gift awaits to commemorate the experience. Guests who have booked individually will wrap up their snowcat skiing adventure at 1:30 p.m. and are welcome to continue their day on the mountain using their included lift ticket.
