As tempting as it may seem (especially after a few après beverages) sledding down ski resort trails is not a good idea. Sledding is prohibited at essentially all ski resorts for good reason. Ski slopes are just not set up to safely sled and every winter we unfortunately cover catastrophic accidents at ski resort involving sledding down ski runs.

Thanks to Devon from Deer Valley Ski Patrol who explains why sledding and other activities are not allowed on the mountain:

“Resort terrain is not suitable for sledding, tubing, or anything of the like and may increase the risk of losing control and colliding with objects (natural or man-made). Doing so may lead to serious injury or death.” -Deer Valley

Nothing says wholesome fun like sledding but when you’re heading to the ski resort leave your sleds at home. Cheers.
