The 2025 YETI Freeride Junior World Championships by Dynastar went down on Monday, January 13, against the backdrop Kappl, Austria. 64 total junior freeriders, representing 16 nations, competed in skiing and snowboarding.
Three of the four Junior World Champions were French, with the winners including Kea Chretien (FRA), Amélie Martin (FRA), Hannah Baldwin (USA), and Noah Peizerat (FRA). Peizerat, an 18-year-old from Val d’Isère & les Arcs, won the ski men’s competition, beating Leo Flett (SUI) and Mika Rolshoven (GER) with several clean 360s and some very solid transitions. The run was so good, you’d think it’s from the full blown adult Freeride World Championships.
The Freeride Junior World Championships acts as a great opening to the major freeride competition season, with the Freeride World Tour set to kick off between January 16 and 23 at the Baqueira Beret Pro by Movistar in Spain’s Pyrenees. Then, between January 27 and February 3, the Val Thorens Pro will bring the freeride energy to France. It should be an epic season!
