Vail Resorts sued over Park City ski experience

Illinois resident Christopher Bisaillon is the primary plaintiff in a class action lawsuit filed against Vail Resorts stemming from the Park City Mountain Resort ski patrol strike. Bisaillon is suing on behalf of anyone who purchased a lift ticket during the duration of the strike with lasted from from December 27th through January 8th which could amount to thousands of skiers.

The lawsuit alleges that skiers did not receive the experience they paid for during the 13-day strike as only 20% of the mountain was open and skiers and snowboarders were left waiting in lift lines for up to 3 hours. Bisaillon claims Park City Mountain’s digital trail maps were advertising 30-minute wait times while the reality was quite different.

The plaintiffs are damages in excess of $5 million. We will be sure to update this story as more information becomes available.
