I don’t speak much French, but you don’t need a strong knowledge of the language to understand what’s going on in this series of videos.
Somehow this woman manages to collide with not one, but two snowboarders in one go, taking out what looks to be a private lesson while skiing entirely out-of-control down the mountain.
Pretty obvious who’s at fault here, right? It’s the woman. It’s always the uphill skier, and she was the uphill skier. You shouldn’t be trying to ski that close to people at that speed if you can’t turn when they turn. And yet, the second part of the videos shows that the woman, somehow, believed the snowboarders were to blame.
When the snowboarder tells the woman to pay attention on the mountain, she replies by saying that he also needs to pay attention. Obviously being aware of other people on the mountain is key to staying safe, and your broken leg won’t care who’s fault the collision was, but this was a snowboarding lesson that she ran into. You can’t be doing that.
