Lakeview, Oregon — Last season couldn’t have gone worse for the Warner Canyon Ski Area. Lower elevation ski areas in the Pacific Northwest saw less snowfall than usual last winter. After receiving insufficient snowfall last winter, the Oregon ski area announced in February 2024 that it wouldn’t operate for the 2023-24 season. This season is going a lot better for the small non-profit ski area.

On New Year’s Day, Warner Canyon Ski Area opened for the 2024-25 season. Warner Canyon is open daily until January 5th from 9 am-4 pm. From there, it will operate Friday-Sunday from 9 am-4 pm. Night skiing is also planned for January 31st and February 1st.
