Lindsey Vonn might not have made that familiar climb to the top of the podium after finishing 2 seconds behind in a pair of lower-level super-G races at Copper Mountain on Sunday but she is happy with the results and still getting reacclimated after 6 years of retirement.

Vonn finished 19th and 24th in the two super-G races and is working on dialing in her boots and skis as well as getting used to competing at the top level with her new titanium knee.

Vonn is in no way discouraged with the results. She now has enough points to enter a World Cup competition but won’t be able to compete at the Beaver Creek World Cup races next weekend as she didn’t accumulate them with enough time to enter.

After her race Vonn was met a pack of of young ski racers at the base where she signed helmets and jackets with her dog Lucy in hand. Very happy to see Lindsey making incremental steps during her comeback and we can’t wait to see more of her as the season progresses.
