Growing up on the East Coast, I dreamed of skiing in the west. I grew up on some of the bigger mountains in the east, but they felt tiny compared to the videos I would watch set at resorts in the west. Plus you constantly hear of how great the snow is, how the west just gets unending powder, and how the mountains have much more interesting terrain than what we have in New England.
