Grandfather Tree @ Schweitzer Ski Resort
Grandfather Tree @ Schweitzer Ski Resort

There’s a lot to love about skiing the trees at Schweitzer Ski Resort located in the Idaho panhandle including this ancient giant they refer to as The Grandfather Tree. The 800-year-old cedar is the biggest tree among the resort’s 2900 acres of terrain and can be found if you look on the skier’s right side of Springboard after Stella’s Run and Springboard merge. Next time you are skiing at the largest ski resort in Washington and Idaho, take a pitstop at the Grandfather Tree and wonder at it’s sheer immensity and age. Cheers!
