The largest ski resort in New York, Gore Mountain, is officially kicking off its 2024/25 ski season tomorrow, November 15. With the help of snowmaking, Tahawus will be open for Gore season passholders only between 9am and 3:30pm. Non-passholders will be given access to the mountain beginning on Saturday, November 16.
Skiing and riding will be limited to advanced terrain on Tahawus only, with guests riding the Adirondack Express II lift up to the trail. The North Quad will provide skiing and riding access throughout the day, and visitors will have to download on the Adirondack Express when the day is over.
Non-passholders will be able to purchase discounted lift tickets for $44 for Saturday and Sunday riding, though Frequent Skier Card discounts will not be available. Tickets must be purchased in person.
The retail and rental shop will be open and the base lodge will be providing food. However Saddle Lodge will only be open for bathroom use. After Sunday, the mountain will close down again until they have enough snow to reopen. Once again, skiing and snowboarding at Gore Mountain will run from 9am to 3:30pm this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
