The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is widely considered both the most prestigious and the most competitive trail ultramarathon in the world. Competitors tackle ~107.5 miles (173 km) with over 32,800 feet (10,000 meters) of elevation gain while an audience cheers them on from the sidelines.
To get your body to the point where you’re ready and able to compete in such a brutal race requires an immense amount of grueling training, in addition to tackling mental challenges like no other. SCOTT Sports took a look at the lives of these athletes as they prepare for the UTMB.
“Join the SCOTT Running athletes as they prepare for and compete in the world’s most prestigious ultra trail race. The film delves into their personal journeys, months of grueling training, and mental challenges in tackling the 173-kilometer race with 10,000 meters of elevation.“
