FLAGSTAFF, Arizona – Arizona Snowbowl is set to kick of the 2024/25 ski season on Friday, November 8, marking the resort’s earliest opening in history. The 86-year-old resort was originally set to open on November 22, but snowstorms and extensive snowmaking efforts have allowed an early opening.
“We’re excited to welcome everyone back to Arizona Snowbowl for the 24-25 ski season. Not only are we opening two weeks early, but we’re also unveiling exciting capital improvements, including a new fixed-grip quad chairlift and four new ski trails, expanding our beginner terrain on the mountain. Join us on Friday, November 8, as we celebrate this historic opening and the start of another incredible winter season!”- Angie Grubb, Marketing Manager at Arizona Snowbowl.
The first chair ceremony at the Arizona Gondola will begin at 9am, providing access to Spur Catwalk, Lower Bowl, Log Jam, Wild Turkey, and Round Up trails. Additionally, the Agassiz Lodge will be open for food and retail, and the Hart Prairie Lodge will be open for guest services and rental pick-up.
“Safety is a top priority when early-season conditions exist. Arizona Snowbowl kindly reminds guests to always know and adhere to the NSAA ‘Your Responsibility Code.’ Following opening day, the resort will operate daily from November 8, 2024, through late spring, conditions permitting, with lifts running from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.” – Arizona Snowbowl
Arizona Snowbowl is introducing the brand new Aspen Chairlift, a fixed-grip quad lift, during the 2024/25 season, providing access to Giddy Up, Chipmunk Chase, Lupine Lane, and Jackrabbit while expanding beginner terrain. The lift replaces what was the oldest lift on the mountain, built in the 1960s.
Last year, the Arizona resort celebrated its longest season in history, opening on November 17, 2023, and running through June 1, 2024. Tickets for the upcoming season are available for purchase here, starting at just $19 on select dates.
