Sugarbush employees plant 100 trees.

Over 30 Sugarbush Resort employees came together to plant 100 trees at the Mad River by the Sugarbush Snowmaking Pond this week. The 100 trees are part of the Snowmaking Infrastructure Withdrawal Project, both providing habitat for native species while helping to solidify the banks of the Mad River tributary.

Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Coordinator Joel Rhodes explained that the employees planted red maple, balsam poplar, and shrub willow, all native to Vermont. These trees will help provide stream bank stability, flood resiliency, and prevent erosion during flooding events. Nearly every department at Sugarbush was represented through the staff at the planting event.

Cheers to Sugarbush and the staff for getting those trees planted!
