When it comes to ski resort etiquette there is an unwritten rule that you should not touch other people’s equipment unless it somehow impedes a normal path or you’re in the act of helping someone gather up their gear after a yardsale. Picking up random skis to pose mountain top photos is a definite no no.
This racer at Austria’s Stubai Glacier handled the situation calmly when he came upon two tourist who had appropriated his Salomon NI S/Race Prime GS Masters for a little photo session but it’s not hard a different reaction.
Word to the wise, if you’re at a ski resort and you have the urge to manhandle some random skis or snowboards you see lying around, don’t. Enough said.
