Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Colorado is officially opening THIS SATURDAY, November 2, for the winter season. Skiing and snowboarding will be available on High Noon accessed via the Black Mountain Express to start the season, but further snowmaking efforts beginning with Lenawee Face and Dercum Dash will help the mountain get more open in the coming weeks.

โ€œEvery winter at The Basin brings something new. But this season, itโ€™s all about delivering the A-Basin experience skiers and riders know and loveโ€”our mountain, our team, our vibe. This year will be no exception.โ€ – Arapahoe Basin COO Alan Henceroth

Lifts are set to start spinning at 8:30 A.M. and run until 4:00 P.M., while a DJ will be bumping music from 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.. Additionally, opening day will feature giveaways and donuts for the first several guests in line.

As an important note, early season skiers IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS. Beginner terrain will open in a few weeks. For now, stay home and wait patiently if you’re not experienced on skis or a snowboard.
