Red Bull Rampage, one of the coolest mountain biking events of the year, goes down this week, with the women’s competition taking place on October 10 and the men’s taking place on October 12. With it coming up in just a few days, athletes in both competitions are getting their routes, bodies, minds, and bikes as ready as possible.
British rider Brendan Fairclough shared the work going into his custom bike built specifically for the Red Bull event, inspired by a Porsche he saw at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s a sweet bike and I personally can’t wait to see it in action.
“This has to be one of the most amazing bikes I have ever owned. A special one for Redbull Rampage this year. Im so unoriginal I have just copied a custom built Porsche I saw at Goodwood festival of speed that Lanzante had built. It just caught my eye straight away and knew I wanted to replicate the colour for my new Rampage MTB dream build.“
Both the men’s and women’s competitions will be available to watch on ESPN+, Red Bull TV, and the Red Bull Bike YouTube channel. The women’s competition kicks off at 9:00pm ET on Thursday, October 10. The men’s is set to kick off at 12:00pm ET on Saturday, October 12.
