Mad River Glen (1972)
Mad River Glen (1972)

Thanks to the folks at Warren Miller Entertainment for this Mad River Glen time capsule from 1971. Warren wryly points out that Mad River management has a very unique philosophy “they are very friendly” and observes that skiing in the East offers a special kind of challenge that you either conquer or go west.

“Eastern skiing has a tendency to intimidate some of the people from farther West. The real skiing is the result of carving trails down wooded mountain sides.” -Warren Miller

It warms our hearts that Mad River Glen still operates that Warren’s favorite chairlift, the Single Chair first cranked up on December 11th, 1948.
