The FIS Freeride World Tour (FWT) announced two new partnership deals heading into the 2025 competitive season, with Mammut joining as the official safety partner and Therm-ic joining as the official glove partner.
For the next four years, Mammut will supply riders, FWT staff, partners, and media with avalanche transceivers, shovels, probes, backpacks, and other snow safety equipment, in addition to assisting with safety workshops for both athletes and the public. The partnership officially launches at the Freeride World Tour Opening Event in Baqueira Beret, Spain, hosted between January 18 and January 23 of this winter.
“Safety should always be the top priority for athletes pushing their limits in freeride sports. For decades, Mammut has supported athletes and riders worldwide, providing them with the tools they need to tackle any terrain safely, no matter how challenging. We are thrilled to partner with the Freeride World Tour for the next four years and help cultivate a culture of safety and awareness in the freeride community.” – Heiko Schäfer, CEO of Mammut
The Freeride World Tour’s partnership with Therm-ic runs for three years, with Therm-ic supplying athletes and staff with gloves designed for extreme conditions. Professional athletes like Max Hitzig and Marcus Goguen will sport the gloves throughout the season, with the company set to launch a freeride-specific glove collection.
“The Freeride World Tour perfectly embodies Therm-ic’s values: innovation, endurance, and a passion for winter sports. We are proud to not only provide athletes with top-of-the-line equipment but also support everyone behind the scenes who brings this event to life, ensuring they stay warm and focused, even in the most difficult conditions.” – François Duvillard, CEO of Sidas World
FIS Freeride World Tour has also renewed their existing partnerships with GoPro, Gore-Tex, and Alpina Watches heading into the 2025 skis season.
