Ross Tester was a beast of a skier on the Freeride World Tour. He won the first event of his rookie season, throwing down a line that still leaves me awestruck, had some wild recoveries, and put down some pucker worthy cliff drops. But he left the tour after the 2023, choosing instead to focus on why he really loves skiing. While it was a bit sad to see him go, his most recent announcement makes up for it. Ross just dropped the trailer for his new ski movie, Here 4 Now, directed by him, produced by him, and obviously featuring him, and it looks sweet.
“After 3 intense years on the Freeride World Tour, Ross Tester steps away from the competitive spotlight to rediscover his love for skiing in its purest form. Journeying from his current home in Salt Lake City, UT to his roots in Tahoe, CA, Ross remembers the droughts of his childhood that taught him to embrace skiing no matter the conditions. No longer driven by medals or rankings, Ross embraces the unpredictability of nature, finding beauty in its imperfections and challenges as he learns to live in the now.“
Here 4 Now will premier at the High Five Festival in France on September 28, 2024. Then it will be included in the Pangea film tour. Dates and locations are yet to be announced for that tour, but they should be soon (you can find them @pangeacreatives on Instagram). Finally, Tester’s full film will be released on his YouTube channel on December 2.
