MT. BALDY, California – Mt. Baldy Resort in California has been forced to close following the Bridge Fire, with operators currently expecting a reopening for the winter season.
“The Bridge Fire has forced the closure of Mt. Baldy Ski Lifts and businesses, leading to a significant loss of September revenue. We expect to open in time for winter operations, hopefully even sooner, but we need your support during this challenging time.” – Mt. Baldy Resort
The resort is asking for assistance through the pre-purchasing of season passes, tickets, or gift cards for the Mt. Baldy Lodge and Ski Lifts. Additionally, any donations made to the resort will be given to the Mt. Baldy Village Church to help fire victims with uninsured property damage and temporary housing costs.
Season passes for the resort are currently on major sale. An adult pass, which normally costs $799, is currently available for $399, while a pass for a child 12 and under can be purchased for just $249.
The Bridge Fire, which started on September 8, is still burning strong, affecting 54,690 acres in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. As of September 16, it sits at 11% containment. Mt. Baldy is still on evacuation order, along with several other locations viewable here.
