SAN BERNARDINO NATIONAL FOREST, California – Mt. Baldy Resort in California provided another wildfire update as the most intense parts of the fire have already passed. Not a ton of specific information on the conditions of the resort have been released, though they will remain closed for the time being.
Based on the video update Mt. Baldy will be closed this weekend, though there does seem to be hope that they’ll be open again by the weekend of October 12 as Moonlight Hike tickets for this weekend have been transferred to the Moonlight Hike that Saturday.
“While fire crews work around the clock to battle the flames and monitor for new hotspots, it appears that we’ll be closed for a while.“
As of 8am on September 13, the Bridge Fire is a 3% contained at 51,884 acres. 2,104 personell are currently assigned to this wildfire. Specifics on the mountain’s condition are unknown, though much of the area remains under evacuation order.
Mt. Baldy is hosting a fundraiser at Last Name Brewing in Upland, California for the victims of the Bridge Fire on Saturday. Tickets for that event include a single 2024/25 ski season day pass, but that event has totally sold out.
