MT. BACHELOR, Oregon – Mt. Bachelor has cancelled some weekend activities as the Bachelor Complex wildfires continues to burn nearby. The resort was closed on both Thursday and Friday of this week, though the mountain and its structures aren’t yet threatened.

Mt. Bachelor’s Yoga In The Wild, which was supposed to take place this upcoming weekend, as been postponed to September 21. That said, the resort has not announced whether or not it will be open on Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15. Conditions will be reassessed daily, and updates will be provided at this link.

The Bachelor Complex is a grouping of 30 fires, ranging from just a tenth of an acre to over 9,500 acres. It takes up a total of 10,332 acres. As of last update on September 12, 248 personnel were on the scene. Meanwhile, the nearby Flat Top fire has grown to 30,643 acres just north of Fort Rock, Oregon.
