SILVERTON, Colorado – Imagine the most epic corporate retreat you possibly can. Is it a beach retreat? Maybe it includes some amazing hiking? Maybe your boss rents out an entire luxury cabin for the entire team? Or maybe your boss rents out an entire ski area for your team.. It might seem far fetched, but it’s entirely possible at Silverton Mountain.
Silverton is not your usual ski area, so this isn’t exactly a casual ski trip. There’s just one lift, and from there, skiers and snowboarders must hike along the ridge line to access more runs. It’s also split into a guided and unguided ski season, with the guided running from December 28, 2024 to March 9, 2025, and the unguided running from March 13 to April 13, 2025. During the guided season, skiers and snowboarders must be accompanied by a guide. During the unguided, the guide option still exists, but visitors are free to ride the lift and ski/snowboard without one.
The Private Mountain experience is its own thing entirely. Party, reunion, corporate retreat, fundraiser, you name it. The possibilities are endless. A private experience is available for groups between 20 and 100 people, with pricing differing depending on the number of people and the time of year.
“We offer food and beverage options, rental equipment, and other commemorative swag at additional costs. Tell us your vision and we will help make your event memorable!” – Silverton Mountain
Between December 27 and April 14, private mountain rentals are typically limited to Monday through Wednesday, though events booked well it advanced might be able to grab a Thursday-Sunday spot. However, earlier in the season, before the guided season kicks off (December 1-26), private rentals are available daily. If you (or your boss) are interested in renting out the mountain, you can learn more here.
