ALTA, Utah – Alta is known for its legendary, skier only terrain, helping to create some of the best skiers in North America. Professional skier Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, who’s “Let’s Take A Lap!” series has garnered some well-earned popularity, gathered with a massive crew of professional skiers and local legends to shred Alta this past winter, and as you can imagine, it was pretty wild.

“The most stacked crew ever to assemble? Or just another day at Alta? I rolled up to Alta after booking a last min flight to Utah chasing a substantial storm. Upon arriving I linked up with a mega session beyond all proportions. Three factions of riders including local freeriders, Blake Wilson, Grant Howard, and Seamus Flanagan. Freeride world tour competitors, Andrew Pollard, Ross Tester, Kendal Goodman, Leif Mumma, Colton Shaff and US Freeskiing legends Colby Stevenson, and Mac Forehand were just some of the crew that assembled for the day. While this was totally unplanned, these things just seem to happen around here. And wild times ensued.“
Alta’s 2024 opening day is yet to be announced, but they did open on November 25 last season, so a late November opening at least seems possible. We’ll make sure to let you know when they’re set to open as soon as we know.
