Gwyneth Goes Skiing @ The Fringe

The theatrical adaptation of Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski collision saga was announced last October and we have been covering it ever since. The parody docu-musical “Gwyneth Goes Skiing” is currently being performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, featuring the vocals of Darren Criss and Catherine Cohen.

The musical is a reimagining of the infamous skiing accident between Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and retired optometrist Terry Sanderson. Sanderson claimed Paltrow hit and run on the slopes of Deer Valley Resort back in 2016 leaving him with a concussion, four broken ribs and a brain injury. Sanderson sued for $3.1 million in compensation. Paltrow counter-sued for $1 and attorney fees. A jury found Paltrow “Gwynnocent.”

Here is a song based on the on the testimonies from the trial between Terry Sanderson and Gwyneth Paltrow.

About Gwyneth Goes Skiing:

A story of love, betrayal, skiing, and (somehow) Christmas – where you are the jury! Prepare to be gooped. BYOJE (bring your own jade eggs).

She’s the Goop-founding, Door-Sliding, Shakespeare-In-Loving, consciously-uncoupling Hollywood superstar. He’s a retired Optometrist from Utah. In 2016, they went skiing.

On the slopes of Deer Valley, their worlds collided, and so did they – literally. Ouch. Seven years later in 2023, they went to court. Double ouch.

This is their story. Kind of. Not really. But also, it’s at Christmas.
