SUMMIT COUNTY, Colorado – The Summit County Sheriff’s Office of Summit County, Colorado, shared a report of a unhinged cyclist in this past week’s Justice Files. The cyclist was issued a summons for criminal mischief after throwing rocks at a vehicle and providing a false name and date of birth to Deputies.

According to the report, a Colorado hut master was driving up an unpaved county road to access one of the Summit County huts for maintenance when the cyclist approached him and began yelling at him for driving on an unpaved road. When the man tried to explain that driving a vehicle on the road was, in fact, allowed, the cyclist became agitated and threw rocks at the vehicle, leaving at least one large dent, before leaving the area.

Deputies caught up with the cyclist, who denied being involved in the altercation despite matching the description given for the suspect. An investigation revealed that the cyclist also gave the deputies a fictitious name and date of birth. He was issued a summons for criminal mischief.” – Summit County Justice Files

Other highlights from the Justice Files include a drunk e-bike driver, a knife wielding man demanding a 12-pack of beer, a heated argument about who wants to go swimming, and a couple who came home from the bars, and decided to do some late night bathroom renovations in their apartment. Also, a cloud of mist lead to a report of a wildfire. A fascinating week in Summit County, Colorado!
