Two cyclist have ended up in the hospital in the past 7 day after colliding with mountain goats on The High Country Trail in Summit County between Frisco and Copper.

It’s believed the increased activity of goats on the trail has be caused by a lack of water in the normal high elevation territory and they have needed come down to drink from 10 mile creek. That combined with an increase of bikers on the trail has led to some unfortunate collisions and authorities have put up signs warning to keep your eyes peeled for goats on the road.

Be safe out there, respect the wildlife and make sure to send this along to anyone who uses The Country Trail.
