Brazilian pro surfer Italo Ferreira rode the honorary first wave at the grand opening of Rif010, the world’s first urban wave pool located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The 21-meter wide,130-meter long wave generating Dutch canal breaks on 2 reefs and every 7 seconds they generate a new wave. 330 waves roll through the canal per hour ranging from .5 meters for beginners, up to 1.5 meters for experienced surfers. 1 hour sessions are about $55 USD.
