Not every social media post from Phoenix Fire Department goes viral but this one from yesterday asking people to stop hiking in the heat certainly struck a cord. With temperatures soaring to near 110 degrees, its currently not safe to go hiking and this fireman with incredible facial doesn’t want to get scorched saving you. Real simple: stay safe, stay hydrated, stay off the trails.
“With temperatures hitting near 110 degrees, it’s not the day for hiking. A friendly reminder: no hikes at Camelback Mountain or Piestewa Peak during Excessive Heat Warnings and it’s best to avoid all trails between 9 AM – 5 PM. Help us promote safe hiking practices and support the “Take a Hike. Do it Right.” campaign! Stay safe and hydrated.”
