World's first drone delivery to Everest.

DJI is just got a major feather in its cap after participating in the world’s first drone deliveries on Mount Everest. Partnering with 8krawfilms drone service company Airlift, and Imagine Nepal mountain guide Mingma G Sherpa, DJI successfully conducted the first drone delivery tests on Everest.

DJI FlyCart 30 was used to transport oxygen bottles from Everest Base Camp to Camp 1, from 5,300 to 6,000 meters above sea level. On the return trip, the drone brought back 15 kg of trash.

While this payload may be small next to what the sherpas year haul up and down Everest every year, pioneering trip is proof on concept how drones can enhance safety on the mountain and contribute to a cleaner environment.
